1. Yoshi flower chased love from his hometown Detroit to Los Angeles at the the turn of 2017.
2. Yoshi moved into a topanga tree house with artist Elohim.
3. He began writing and producing material for his solo project. In January 2017 Yoshi submitted rough demos to bonnaroo and was accepted to play his debut performance at the festival on June 6th 2017. While attending the festival as a fan and seeing some of his inspirations, Yoshi galvanized the youth by spreading political yard signs that read “TAKE ACID AND GO SEE YOSHI FLOWER.”
4. After Yoshi’s show, hundreds of kids hung around to meet Yoshi, this gathering birthed a peace-group, they called themselves the “flower children.”
5. Yoshi returned to Los Angeles to continue working on an LP and developing his sound, buzz from his bonnaroo debut earned him appearances at sold out shows at Red Rocks with Griz, as well as popping up with Elohim, Wavves, Alison Wonderland, and SG Lewis during the fall of 2017.
